Team Fortress 2: Quarry

Project Overview
Quarry is a King of the Hill map developed for Team Fortress 2.
The map takes place in a large 3 floor facility, built within a quarry.
This was a project for one of my university modules, Multiplayer Level Design, which took me 10 weeks to complete.
The project consisted of:
•Creating a King of the Hill map for TF2
•Creating a design document about the map
•Hosting a number of playtests to gain feedback about the map
•Creating a testing plan & changelog document
There were a number of different considerations that went into developing Quarry, such as:
Balance:
•Balancing the map geometry and layout based on the different classes found in TF2
•What pickups are in the map and where they're located
Affordances:
Visual affordances around the map help the player navigate the world easier, helping them identify where the capture point is or where they can/can't go.
